Doonreagan is an historic country retreat, situated right in the heart of Connemara on Ireland’s west coast, at the foot of Cashel Hill and overlooking a sheltered bay of the Atlantic Ocean. The estate is surrounded by 60 acres of gardens and landscaped grounds with walkways, spectacular views of sea and mountain, an ornamental lake, and foreshore with sauna and sea pool as well as private swimming facilities. The historic main house at Doonreagan is available for holiday lets, accommodating up to ten guests. The four spacious reception rooms are elegantly furnished and the bedrooms offer modern comforts, with tea and coffee-making facilities. There are five double bedrooms, three bathrooms and an extra cloakroom. The hall has a solid fuel stove and opens up to a sheltered terrace with garden furniture and sea views. The library has a television and a large selection of books. The drawing-room, with an open fireplace and several seating areas, leads to a large conservatory. The well-equipped kitchen is separate, leading to the dining-room. High-speed fibre broadband, electricity and heating are included in the rent, as well as daily housekeeping. On-site catering is available on request. Access to a laundry with a washing-machine, drying room and tumble dryer can be arranged.There is also a large games and reading room available with pool, table tennis, puppet theatre and many more books to choose from. The auditorium is suitable for workshops, seminars, and other group activities.
